SIS Burner Energy Gel 30 Pack

Originally conceived as training development nutrition for Science In Sport's elite cyclists and teams the SIS Burner Gel is based on Science In Sport's popular Go Isotonic Gel but with the addition of carnitine. 

Each Burner Gel contains 1g of carnitine (roughly equivalent to the amount in 1kg of steak), and uses Go Gel technology in conjunction with an innovative nutrient environment (to aid 'signaling' and help optimise carnitine effect) along with potent anti-oxidants and a great lemon taste.

Carnitine performs a number of important roles in the body. It is necessary for the movement of free fatty acids for fat burning in mitochondria, has a long history of use by endurance athletes and is an important nutrient, so much so that it is compulsory in infant formula.

The theory behind adding carnitine to an energy gel product is that by increasing the levels of carnitine stored in the muscles you could become more efficient at burning fat as a fuel and therefore helping to spare your carbohydrate stores. Your body can typically only store enough carbohydrate to fuel yourself for 1-2 hours of exercise and also has a limited capacity to digest additional carbohydrate intake. By increasing your ability to use fat as a fuel during exercise you should increase the length of time you can exercise before depleting your energy stores.

Recommended Usage

Consume upto 2 burner gel sachets per day, during exercise, ensure you keep hydrated. Children or pregnant women should consult their doctor before taking supplements.
