The following review appeared in Cycling Weekly magazine, February 2012 - "Nestle's ownership of Powerbar is the reason behind the Lion Bar flavouring of this ProteinPlus 80 product but, despite the seemingly incongruous choccy bar an nutrition pairing, there's science behind the product. Designed to be mixed with milk, it offers a huge chunk of protein in a shake, accounting for 80 per cent of the constituent ingredients. Not simply whey protein, the mix allows for slow, medium and long-term release making it ideal overnight workout recovery. With the 700g tub making 23 servings and costing £22.99 rrp even we can work out the cost per serving. It promised decent value and if you like a small hit of caramel bite with your drink, it should be a smooth, milkshake-like winner."
