Powerbar Protein Plus 80% Lion Crisp

Proteinplus 80% contains only 3.5% fat and with 80% high value protein content is great for muscle growth or for adding protein to your diet. Due to its slow release into the body, it is also a good choice for recovery overnight (perfect for when you train in the evening).

Compared to many protein drinks, Proteinplus 80% has a much smoother, milkshake-like texture and contains Lion bar chocolate, fudge and crisp pieces to create a great tasting recovery drink. Mixes easily with milk or water.

Recommended Usage

Mix a 30g serving (approx. 3 scoops) with 300ml of semi skimmed milk. Take 1-3 servings spread over the day, for example, after training or two hours before training.

Nestle's ownership of Powerbar is the reason behind the Lion Bar flavouring of this ProteinPlus 80 product but, despite the seemingly incongruous choccy bar an nutrition pairing, there's science behind the product. Designed to be mixed with milk, it offers a huge chunk of protein in a shake, accounting for 80 per cent of the constituent ingredients. Not simply whey protein, the mix allows for slow, medium and long-term release making it ideal overnight workout recovery. With the 700g tub making 23 servings and costing £22.99 rrp even we can work out the cost per serving. It promises decent value and if you like a small hit of caramel bite with your drink, it should be a smooth, milkshake-like winner.
